We have a collaborative and flexible mindset as an organisation. Each member of the teams leads on a strand of work but we also come together for larger projects.

Our values and vision are very important to us, kindess is our currency and we give what we can. You will also see that we all invest in our local community through other interests and passions as well as BizEd. This is important to us as it keeps us connected within our communities and we see this as a benefit to the organisation.

Chief Executive Officer

Vicki Ayton

Vicki has over 15 years of expertise working with businesses and organisations to design and deliver a number of successful innovative skills, training, and business projects. She also has 10 years of experience as a trainer and lecturer across Apprenticeships, Further Education, Higher Education, and Outdoor Education.

BizEd Projects is her way of using these skills, knowledge, and connections to benefit others that face additional barriers to employment.

Business Development & Marketing Director

Laura Scotland

Laura brings a wealth of employer engagement experience gained from over 15 years in the education sector. She loves to combine her creative and strategic skills and has a keen interest in sales and marketing.

Laura is passionate about social enterprise and mobility and the opportunity to ‘level-up’ through diversity and accessibility.

Anne Allwood

Anne is an experienced Chartered Accountant and friend of Vicki’s for many years. She brings her experience of working with a range of large and small organisations across Shropshire on tax and accounting matters to the CIC and also acts as a strategic friend to the organisation.

Catherine Sharrocks

Catherine brings her skills as a business mentor, coach and trainer, backed up by 30 years in the financial services industry helping businesses achieve their financial goals. She is working with BizEd using her training and development skills to help co-design and develop new programmes that deliver social impact for our communities. She also has her own consultancy business, Castrama Consulting.

Rebecca Cartwright

Becca has many years’ experience of working in the charity sector, with volunteers as well as in the NHS. She believes in the power of community and the positive impact it can have on people’s mental health and the planet. She fits BizEd around her yoga teaching business, working with adults, families and young people.

(Associate) SEND and Digital Health & Wellbeing

Annabel Gears

Annabel has an MSc (Distinction) in Applied Research and a 1st Class honors degree in Psychology and Child Development. Annabel currently works part-time with children with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and also with BizEd. She has helped Vicki with the research and development of an employer guide on SEND, supporting employers to work with young adults looking for their 1st placement or employment opportunity.

Digital Skills Tutor - Whitchurch, face to face.

We are looking for people with computer and mobile phone digital skills, (android or apple) to join us and offer a couple of hours a week helping others to get online and complete day to day tasks.

Members of BizEd - Whitchurch, face to face

We are looking for young people aged 18-30 in Whitchurch to become members of BizEd Projects CIC. This is a voluntary role in which members have a vote to choose how any profits from the CIC are spent - whether this is on new services, projects or reinvested in the business. Members have the deciding vote.
