What is the aimed outcome?

We want our projects to make a meaningful difference to young people and the communities around them.

Through our programmes, we aim to:

  • Inspire young people to look at a range of career opportunities.

  • Introduce and build upon skills that apply to industry roles, not just the obvious tech ones!

  • Connect young people with real people who share their love of the digital world.

"It's made education comforting rather than having to worry about it. I feel I can educate myself without the additional stress that's normally there at school. The people in BizEd make me feel welcome, but it's also just really fun!" – Young Person from Tech Club

Who makes this opportunity possible?

This project is coordinated and led by our Community Manager Bell, whose role is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. It is delivered entirely for free for young people thanks to the vital support, time, expertise and real-world experiences shared by local and national industry professionals from across our network.

Every workshop and activity is co-designed together with our Community Manager and the young people themselves – shaped around what matters most to them, what they want to learn, and what works best for everyone that takes part.

Why do we run this programme?

At BizEd, we believe young people should have opportunities to develop their skills, explore their interests, and learn about the possibilities available to them.

Our programme focuses on Digital Skills, Sustainability, Confidence, Creativity, Employability and Career Exploration. Helping young people to use their skills and feel inspired for their futures.
